Introduction

In fashion design, making structural changes like adding or removing elements such as collars, zippers, or pockets can be a tedious and time-consuming task. Traditionally, this process involves hours of manual work in design software, limiting creative exploration and slowing down production cycles. With Fermat, designers can now modify structural elements effortlessly. Whether you need to add a turtleneck to a sweater or remove pockets from a biker jacket, Fermat lets you make these adjustments, removing the need for complex Photoshop edits. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to make structural modifications instantly using Fermat 'Magic brush' & 'Magic eraser' tools.

Step by step guide

Magic brush

Magic eraser

To remove structural elements on your designs, follow these steps:

1

Open the AI

2

Select a page

Inside the Magic Eraser tool, there are two pages:

  1. The first page allows you to erase small elements such as placement prints and other minor details.

  2. The second page allows you to erase larger structural elements such as pockets, zippers, collars, etc.

3

Upload a reference image

Click the upload area and select the design that you want to modify.

Supported format (JPEG, PNG & WEBP)

4

Paint specific area

Indicate with the painting tool which zipper, pocket, or zip closure you want to delete from the design.

5

Define creativity

Specify the level of creativity the AI should apply when deleting the structural part you previously defined.

  • Less creativity means the AI will follow a more precise and restricted approach, making minimal modifications and preserving the original structure as much as possible.

  • More creativity means the AI will take a more flexible approach, making broader modifications and potentially redesigning the area to blend seamlessly with the rest of the design.

6

Generate render

Click on the 'Generate' button and let the AI process your inputs. In a few seconds, you will have your new design.

Review the output, and if necessary, refine both the paint area and creativity level to improve the results.

Go to and log in to your account.

Open: '' tool.
