Moodboards

Design coherent collections with Custom Styles using visual references.

Last updated 3 months ago

Introduction

Designing a cohesive fashion collection is a complex process that requires balancing creativity, consistency, and efficiency. However, Fermat streamline this process by learning from your visual references and generating designs that match your creative vision. With Custom Styles, you can train AI using visual references, enabling it to generate images and fashion concepts tailored to your aesthetic. This article will guide you through using moodboards to create unified collections efficiently.

Step by step guide

To train the AI using Custom Styles, follow these steps:

Create Custom style

1

Accessing the Custom Styles Panel

  1. Open Fermat and navigate to the Custom Styles section.

  2. Click on 'New Style' to begin the training process.

2

Upload visual references

Upload at least 10 visual references that define your desired aesthetic. These can include:

  • Colors, textures & fabrics.

  • Editorial images that match the theme.

  • Accessories and silhouettes that fit your vision.

Ensure that your visual references are of high quality, avoiding pixelated or low-resolution images that could affect the accuracy of the AI-generated designs.

To delete a specific visual reference, place the cursor over the image and press the "Delete" button.

3

Set the parameters

  1. Enter a name that represents the style you're training.

  2. Select the "Moodboards" option.

  3. Write a short description that explains about your dataset.

Example: these are images of my collection 'Sunset dreams'.

4

Train the AI

Click the "Start training" button. The AI will process your visual references and create a custom syle within approximately 10' min.

The training time may depend on the number and size of the visual references you have uploaded.

Use Custom style

1

Open the Custom style

2

Enter your prompt

Provide a detailed text description of the design you want.

Example: A model in a chic orange dress with sequins, rhinestones, and floral embellishments. The dress features a deep V-neck, rolled-up long sleeves, buttons down the front, and a belt with a sleek buckle. She accessorizes with a silver heart-shaped pendant necklace, and her curly hair flows freely. Her expression is confident, with a minimalistic background highlighting the dress's bold, modern design.

3

Customize the settings

Adjust parameters such as:

  • Aspect ratio: 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 5:4, 4:5

  • Influence of AI on the original dataset. This means that if the influence is 100%, AI will fully consider the dataset it was trained on.

4

(Optional) Upload a reference image

You can upload a reference image to restyle it using the unique DNA of your Custom Style.

Supported format (JPG, PNG and WEBP)

5

Generate render

Click on the "Generate" button and let the AI process your inputs. In a few seconds, you will have your new design that follows your visual references.

Review the output and, if necessary, refine the prompt for better results.

View dataset

You can view the dataset of your Custom Style by opening its respective menu.

Delete Custom Style

You can delete your Custom Style by selecting the 'Delete' option in its respective menu.

Examples

Here are some examples of how designers use Custom Syles in Fermat:

A model in a chic orange dress with sequins, rhinestones, and floral embellishments.

A luxurious handbag with a bold, sculptural design, featuring rounded, puffy patterns across its surface. The bag has a unique, textured look with an eye-catching, curved surface. The strap is made of a smooth, mesh material, adding a distinctive contrast to the sleek design of the handbag. The background is plain to emphasize the minimalist and stylish nature of the bag

Side view of vibrant sneaker with a mix of orange and pink suede and leather materials. The sole is made of gum rubber, giving them a retro yet modern vibe. The sneaker has a unique, colorful look with a playful and fashionable design, focusing on the texture and bold colors. The sneaker is photographed against a minimalist white background to highlight their design
