# Moodboards

## Introduction

Designing a cohesive fashion collection is a complex process that requires balancing creativity, consistency, and efficiency. However, Fermat streamlines this process by learning from your visual references and generating designs that match your creative vision. With Custom Styles, you can **train AI using visual references**, allowing it to generate images and fashion concepts tailored to your aesthetic. This article will guide you through using moodboards to create unified collections efficiently.

## Step by step guide

To train the AI using Custom Styles, follow these steps:

### Create a Custom Style

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Accessing the Custom Styles Panel

1. Open Fermat and navigate to the *Custom Styles* section.
2. Click on *'New Style'* to begin the training process.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Upload visual references

Upload at least 10 visual references that define your desired aesthetic. These can include:

* Colors, textures, and fabrics.
* Editorial images that match the theme.
* Accessories and silhouettes that fit your vision.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Make sure that your visual references are in high quality. Avoid pixelated or low-resolution images that could affect the accuracy of the AI-generated designs.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://2419988688-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVR1BDoqmJbjltMHKIdui%2Fuploads%2Fl4yPhCaaoIzk3O7vcy9S%2Fdatatset.jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=814eae16-d7e9-4a99-8174-dc7f046c2a59" alt=""><figcaption><p>Uploading visual references</p></figcaption></figure>

To delete a specific visual reference, place the cursor over the image and press the *"Delete"* button.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set the parameters

1. Enter a name that represents the style you're training.
2. Select the *"Moodboards"* option.
3. Write a short description that explains your dataset.

{% hint style="info" %}
Example: *these are images for my collection 'Sunset dreams'.*
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://2419988688-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVR1BDoqmJbjltMHKIdui%2Fuploads%2FPDWXv1KfQzb6wtNlqX1m%2Fparameters.jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=d1abe9d4-96c1-4710-980e-1683987ccb29" alt=""><figcaption><p>Set the parameters</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Train the AI

Click the "Start training" button. The AI will process your visual references and create a custom style within approximately **10 minutes**.

{% hint style="info" %}
The training time may depend on the number and size of the visual references you have uploaded.

### Use Custom Styles

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the Custom Style

<figure><img src="https://2419988688-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVR1BDoqmJbjltMHKIdui%2Fuploads%2FkHDSRbGNMATy0ztOEEmk%2Fstyle.jpg?alt=media&#x26;token=b4d5d768-03b9-4ade-bdd3-6017eb03a24b" alt=""><figcaption><p>Press the Custom Style once the AI completes its training.</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter your prompt

Provide a detailed text description of the design you want.

{% hint style="info" %}
Example: *A model in a chic orange dress with sequins, rhinestones, and floral embellishments. The dress features a deep V-neck, rolled-up long sleeves, buttons down the front, and a belt with a sleek buckle. She accessorizes with a silver heart-shaped pendant necklace, and her curly hair flows freely. Her expression is confident, with a minimalistic background highlighting the dress's bold, modern design.*
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Customize the settings

Adjust parameters such as:

* **Aspect ratio**: 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 5:4, 4:5
* **Influence of AI on the original dataset.** This means that, if the influence is 100%, the AI will fully consider the dataset it was trained on.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### (Optional) Upload a reference image

You can upload a reference image to restyle it using the unique DNA of your Custom Style.

{% hint style="success" %}
Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, and WEBP
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Generate render

Click on the "Generate" button and let the AI process your inputs. In just a few seconds, you will have your new design that follows your visual references.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Review the output and, if necessary, **refine the prompt** for better results.
{% endhint %}
